OPERATION SALVAGE

Following continued attempts to dispose the hostile entity designated EXOGEN-ALPHA, Exclusionary Site-04 command formally requested assistance. A Planetfall Infantry squad arrived on-site and conducted an initial briefing with Experimental Sciences personnel regarding extermination strategy.

The agreed operational plan involved the controlled used of two to three site mechanics as bait in order to draw EXOGEN-ALPHA out of the ventilation ducts. Researchers expressed reservations regarding the personnel risk; however, the strategy was approved due to limited alternatives and escalating site losses.

Upon execution, EXOGEN-ALPHA responded as predicted and followed the mechanics out. HELIOS was deployed shortly thereafter to intercept and apply engage the entity, initial engagement successfully forced EXOGEN-ALPHA to retreat back into hiding as predicted.

Planetfall Infantry and HELIOS pursued the entity to its identified hiding location within the prison sector courtesy of Maxwell. A prolonged engagement between HELIOS and the entity followed. Despite sustaining heavy damage and facing brutal resistance from the entity, HELIOS maintained operational integrity long enough to complete the objective.

EXOGEN-ALPHA was successfully neutralized following the extended confrontation, the corpse was retrieved by the Planetfall team and delivered to Dr. Whitmore's research outpost for study.

Following the operation, The Commandant and Dr. Whitmore arrived on site to brief the surveyors on their new directive regarding dimensional surveys and Exclusionary Site-04's new status acting as the main base of operations for the surveyors regarding logistical, research and training purposes in order to fulfill surveying Dimension-01. During the debrief, HELIOS suffered from critical system failures having integrated with the previously removed Personality Core, currently HELIOS is in possession of Dr. Whitmore for further study into this unexpected development and to improve upon the model so further incidents like this are prevented.

Regarding the first dimensional survey, Grand Marshal has issued new directive for all able-bodied surveyors to make preparations for the incursion to Submersible Site-09, an underwater VSA research facility to study the strange fauna surrounding the dimension. The facility has been in a state of radio silence after transmitting a distress signal; your objectives are to:-
i) Investigate and recover any research logs from the facility.
ii) Stabilize the facility and ensure operational integrity for the VSA.
